So I met the current GF when I was working in Madrid about a year ago now.

She is from Brazil and is coming to live with me in the UK later this month.

She will be arriving through Madrid and we will be flying to the UK together (I am going out to Madrid to meet her).

I am thinking that we will have to spend a night in Madrid, so looking to take her out somewhere nice for food....

Do you think it is a nicer gesture to take her to:

A) The place where we met (Tapas restaurant, very average food & cheap, but obviously has some memories)

B) An absolutely superb Scandanavian restaurant we discovered where we had awesome food- proably the best we had in the city

How many times did you go to Number B?

I would say Number A though, bring back the memories, you don't exactly go there every day do you?

How is she living in the UK? How did you sort out VISA? She studying? Or you are married now?

Dive in with the personal questions, dont mess about. Tap the OP down too he may have a gun, check his taxes for the past year while you're here - get that information!

LOL Tom0. Sorry if it was too personal but my i am trying to find a way for my girlfriend from Russia to move to the UK and just wondered how you did it. No worries if you dont want to answer. :) Relax.

Oh and on subject;

My answer is A. When you arrive in the UK, in the evening take her out to a very nice resturaunt and take her home for a bit of fun.
