Star Wars: Force Unleashed Demo

As much of a SW Geek as I am, I quite like the pace of the game. I'm viewing this game as an action game for a bored user and wanting something set in a SW universe. It's fun. The force is great and the graphics feels fine to me.

However, it's really annoying when it comes to using the lightsabre. No way does a trooper need 3 hits to die and no dismemberment. If this game uses the force + abit more realistic like say Jedi Academy, I'll happily buy the game on release day.

Now I'll just wait for it to turn dirt cheap before I set my fingers on it during a game drought.

think the lightsaber combat has more in common with revenge of the sith on the origanal xbox in that you need to use combos XYY type of thing

this maks the lightsaber more effective but looks and feels a bit wrong if you are used to jk2

 just looked at some Jedi Knight 2 youtube lightsaber vids! How did I never play this when it came out!?

Anybody know the if I can still walk into a highstreet shop and buy it from there £5 section or whatever, it looks pure class :D

The only thing that disappoints me when watching videos of this game is the lightsaber. You see him swinging it everywhere and hitting enemies with it, but it doesn't really look like a saber should. Its like your just just swinging it around and there's no contact or purpose with each strike.

OK they're not going to have you slicing through bodies, but it reminds me of Tenchu 3 style sword combat. Surely using a lightsaber it'll only take 1 strike to kill a man? There's no weight/contact behind the strike and that annoys me because the lightsaber should be one of the best aspects of any Jedi/Sith Star Wars game.

Played the demo and liked it, but the targeting was awful. Was great fun flinging people off of ledges or dropping crates onto them.

Will probably pick it up at some point, but won't rush out on release date.

Yea i think i'll be picking it up, but once a price drop is in place also.

This was the first demo I tried on my xbox and I loved it. Will definitely be picking this up (although will be looking for bargains).

I only got round to trying the demo today, first time I've had my 360 plugged in for quite some time now.

I've waiting for this game for ages and I was thoroughly impressed with the demo. I can live with the slightly clumsy targeting because the combat is such a silly amount of fun when you get a mental rhythm of combos going as well as using your environment.

Only real complaint is that there's no PC version, the lower resolution and lack of antialiasing really shows in this game because there's so many bits and bobs hanging around. The "outside ship" scene looked pretty terrible.

I'll still pick it up though, no doubt about that. :D

To the people that have played the demo, I've just watched this video:

Is it as bad as it looks? :(

It looks like a mindless hack and slash Devil May Cry type game... man I've gone from pure excitement to sheer disappointment since following this game. I've just canceled my pre-order. Apart form the "force", it looks *****. I'm going to wait for reviews.

Why not just play the demo?
