How do you feel if you were racially abused?

That's violence though. Which does plenty of harm. Escalation from words to violence comes from people not being civilised enough to turn the other cheek. Which, if they were, leaves us back at "words will never hurt me".

Well that sucks. If a muslim puts my windows through I can report it to the police but they wont do anything about it incase there are 'riots'? Lol.
 
I'd rather be racially abused than mugged or beaten up like my gf was by black "gangsta" youths at the notting hill carnival.
Not to say that old man isn't an idiot and thankfully a dying breed in this country.
 
Well you should have just ignored him and what's the point telling him ''Hey mate you just hit my car with your door, do you want me to tell you again?"
If he caused damage sure, yeah accuse him but why start speaking to him...

You'll always get attitude for saying something like that to someone. For example I got some abuse for "Excuse me, your dog just bit me" once.

Don't know why it's the commonest reaction rather than an apology.
 
Never received racial abuse. I'm half English half Arabic, all I've received is racist banter from friends. Friendly stuff, not meant in a mean way.
