Hi,

My girlfriends brother has recently started an Electronics GCSE and for his homework has to find some definitions. One of these is PTB.

As I study electrical and electronic engineering at University they expect that I'll have a clue but I'm no help! Does anybody have an idea what PTB could mean in an electronics context?

I can only suggest that it is a typo (I originally thought he meant PCB but they have to do that as well as PTB) but he is sure that the teacher explictly mentioned PTB several times.

Anybody able to help?

Cheers.

EDIT: All I can find on the net is something related to soldering tips...?

EDIT 2: Think he may be after "Push-to-break"... Wouldn't have got that at first as I'm more used to used "Normally Open/Closed", etc... But cannot think of anything else that would be at the sort of difficulty he'd be after.
