Porsche 911 - Interesting Cutaway

A mate posted these on MTorque and I thought you might find them interesting. Shows off the odd packaging of the 911 very well.

I can almost imagine the job of cutting that car in half being given to the new boy; 'Here, take this junior hacksaw and these needle files, we want a cutaway of the 911 for showroom displays'.

Anyway, that's really interesting. I want to make a relevant remark about the cars' construction, but don't know what to say really!

That is intresting. Certainly different. Dont know how much it would help you in buying a 911 though

There would be quite a few hours gone into that to make it good. Looks like they did a good job.

Makes you appreciate just how much goes into making a car. That thing looks absolutely packed.

I wonder if it came from a new side-smashed up one? The conversation probably went "well what the 'ell are we going to do with this now?"

As it is in an OPC I would imagine it was one of a few produced by Porsche when they released the 996.

I sat in one similar to that in the Porsche museum in Stuttgart. (they didn't have a barrier or a sign saying you couldn't )

It was a newer one, and the passenger floor was still there.

And I got a 2008 porsche calendar for €2

It was a bit like that one but it certainly wasnt a gayman, nor did it have a red interir.

To me that just show how amazing the Porsche engineers have been in overcoming the laws of physics and making the 911 such a superb car to drive: look at the amount of weight slung behind/between the rear wheels. By rights that car should swap ends every time you go near a corner.

By rights it should plow straight on, making the driver panic annd lift off which should result in them being catapulted through the scenery.

Very interesting as is the one of the Nissan GTR.

I personally find the GTR one more interesting as it shows all the fancy drivetrain trickery.
