Logitech Z-5500 and save yourself £400, you won't notice the difference if you spend a penny more
I have the same speakers and tbh i think they're amazing for the price.

He will save more than that - they are £192.50 on a certain well known website which used to just sell books
Would these speakers also be good for films etc?

On a lighter note, if the OP has a budget of £699, he is obviously willing to spend that much on his speakers, so you might as well get the best you can for that price rather than buy something less than half the price.

Does anyone know what length of cable you get on the 5500? id need about 10-13m for each rear speaker.
Are these new ones you are going to buy? If so you can use any standard speaker cables on the new revision, i chucked on some expensive stuff my dad had left over from building his surround sound system and cut them to length. The old revision (with the fixed cables) gives around 5m for the rears and 2m for the fronts.
