Ive just bought a mother board in my great haste and realised its mATX my pc isnt a mini atx case i dont have money for another case right now think i mite have to get my dremmel out ahhhhhhhhhhh

You will almost certainly be able to mount it in your case, most cases I've seen have screw holes for various sized motherboards including mini ATX.

If you really don't want it you could just phone up the people you bought it off and cancel.

should'nt have to dremel it out, all you need to do is get a drill and put the whole in where needed, it's pretty simple.
In my case (antec 900) it didnt have fittings for the end of my mobo so i just drilled them in, worked like a charm:)

cheers guys i was thinking the pci-e will be too high but can only wait and see wont be the first time ive got something to fit that it shouldnt :P (now now timmothy)

Biggest problem i had was finding a mobo with pci-e 16 and runs a quad in my price range im not tight fisted.

But managed to spank 350 quid since friday and now have 40 left for me after the mobo. girlfriend may go bananas but then again a swift smak will shut her up. only joking not liek that

cheers guys,

What have i learned today tho Read things fully dont just look for what you`re needing

All the Micro ATX boards I've had have always fitted in full ATX cases. Most will only have about 4 correct holes instead of all the main 6 you want. Also issues not having the extra ones round the cpu area.

You just have to be careful not to bend the board too much fitting extras. Fit the ram and cpu+sink first before putting in the case if possible.

Yup, just about every normal case i've seen will take boards up to the size the case is sold for, i've yet to see a normal ATX case that wouldn't take an mATX board (I'm fairly sure the standard for ATX cases requires the same mounting points for mATX + the ATX only ones).

Other way round, MATX case and ATX board is a bit more problematic ;)
