gym and warts

I have caught my first ever wart from I believe the gym .I don gloves but they don't cover the middle or end of my fingers .Using the metal pull down bars tears against the skin which would easily make a wart welt which is how I believe I caught it :mad:

They have recently started to provide a hand cleanser but although you see them clean the seats they never clean the bars .

I don't seem to be able to get rid of it have been using cuplex gel but it keeps coming back thought I would try some wartner as seen on tv .

use bazooka varuka (sp) and once the wart has swelled up because of it, use a freeze spray like scholl, it got rid of mine for me. the trick is to bring the wart up to the surface then freeze it. although, you could just try freezing it initially.

cant say that i have ever caught anything more than skin infections on the feet from the showers in gyms. getting a wart off of some equipment must be rare imo.
Are you sure its not just hard skin developing where you are ripping it?

oh, and gloves are for wimps

Warts are a *****!

I have one on the palm of my hand, but that's nearly gone now. Just ye olde generic Wart.

On my foot, I believe I have a Plantar Wart, which grow on areas where pressure is the highest. As such, it grows into and under the skin, as opposed to outwards. It's been impossible to remove so far, and things like Wartner just wouldn't work.

My family think I might turn into that Tree guy (I was in the far-east when I caught them).

Salatac Gel is the answer to your problems.

Off the shelf freezing devices such as Wartner just don't get cold enough (more of a problem with verrucas but also applies to warts.)

Don't know if it been suggested but 'Wartner' is great. It comes in an air can which you insert a stick shaped device into which freezes the stick. The stick is then inserted on the wart.

Edit: I see the person above did not recommend 'Wartner', having first hand experience with it (it was on my thumb), I can give it the thumbs up.

He's a dermatologist, when I used to get verrucas as a kid he would bring home his canister of LN and spray the effected area for what seemed like an eternity, VERY VERY painful.

i did the same for the one and only verruca i've ever had - got some liquid nitrogen and dabbed it on using a cotton bud - hurt for a few days after but problem solved!

Trust me dabbing it on with a cotton bud isn't quite the same as having a pressurised jet of liquid nitrogen against your bare flesh

I remember having that on my foot quite some years back after getting them from split tiles at my local bath's. Was painfull but i dont remember it being bad.

I once had 6 on the go, 3 on each foot. 1 of them was a tricky bugger and remained with me for over a year

I had the liquid nitrogen on a verruca. I remember enjoying the sensation at first, But after a while it became painful

its not painful until it thaws out and the nerves actually work again.

and a 'jet' of liquid nitrogen?? are you sure? was it liquid or a gas?
seems odd to me - only a few drops on the skin is needed to freeze a deep area.

Ummm from what I remember it was in a pressurised cannister with a nozel and a trigger that when pulled would spray a very localised 'jet' of very very cold stuff and he would do so for periods up to maybe about 20-30 seconds.
