Why has no one built a Skulltrail PC with 4 GTX 280's

Since when has that stopped people with more money than sense? There are usually plenty about where these things are concerned.
 
the skulltrail only has 32 PCIe lanes available to 4 physical slots using a NV100 chip.

anything more than 2 cards would mean each card would not get pcie 16x which would hamper performance.

Im sure intel will bring out a skulltrail 2 with the new CPUs

Doesn't skulltrial use two NV100 chips?

Besides skulltrial has to use registered RAM which lowers its performance anyway.

It would be pwned if it was actually true ;)

Just realised 4 wouldn't physically fit, it would if they were water cooled though I think.

There was a PC with 4 9800GX2's but that was on the Quad Royal SLI motherboard which is AMD only, it has 4 PCIe slots with double spacing in between each.
