Upgrade 8800GTX

im also a gtx owner and im not sure what the big fuss is for people who say well im considering upgrading but my biggest issue is my PSU, surely if your forking out for a new GPU the new PSU is small change.

Ive had my GTX from launch and TBH as im only on 22" i see no reason to upgrade atm at all. If anything id be upgrading my cpu, if i bought a new GPU id just have to get a bigger monitor, oh wait now i mention it . . . . . . . . . :)
 
Found my receipt for mine had it since January 2007. It feels sooo much longer. Longest I've stuck with one card though. I'm resisting for now till something really special comes out and my gtx can't run future games. Besides the wife would kill me if I spent on that instead of the new kitchen or bathroom.

Weird feeling isn't it, time in the gaming world is insanely compressed :eek:

I just ordered one of the GTX 280 cards with the recent price drop to replace my oc'ed 8800 GTX and I'm nervously hoping the performance is worth it.

I can still get 80-100 quid for the 8800 anyway so its not such a bad deal.

Well I'm really determined to get a GTX295. Most of the tests I've seen show it to be well over twice as powerful as my 8800GTX. So hopefully again will last me a couple of years or more. Mind this 8800GTX is still going strong.
 
Hi there guys im just contemplating upgrading, i have x2 bfg 8800gtx watercooled and both overclocked as standard from bfg running in sli. I am playing all games max res no problems on my 26" HDTV at 1900x1080 and my 3Dmark06 score is 16848. Is this a good scrore and is it worth me bothering yet? Cheers. I also thought of an upgrade in motherboards im only on a 800mhz board with a 6850Quad core extreme edition. Any thoughts appreciated?
 
Im running the whole lot with a triple and single fan radiator, and a 4" forced cold air rig i have adapted running an air conditioning unit so the temps never go high. All im asking is how easy is it to overclock this setup as ive never overclocked and my abit guru program on my abit board wont work?
