See you at playtime for a game of...

How dangerous BB is depends on what you use as the rule to "tag" people. My second school used the rule: "most of the back on the ground for three seconds". This was on a tarmac quad covered in gravel, mind you. My third school used "both shoulders on the ground for at least a second". Both tended to result in wrestling matches.

And for those who think BB is too wimpy, try kickee-in-the-middle.

That has GOT to be a ****take. That is one of the most utterly disgusting pieces of visual diarrhoea that I have ever read.

Ah, Bulldog. When I used to play it, instead of catching them and saying 'one, two, three', we just used to absolutely nail them. Fun times. :D

I doubt you really did.

that would make the game absolutely pointless

Why? It's still basically played the same way. If you get taken down, then you're one of the bulldogs.

taken down, and beaten up is different.

so you get caught.. beaten.. then beat the next person up... dunno why people would choose to play it lol

I'm not sure really, but there was always quite a lot playing. I guess it made it more challenging, and you could notice as people really tried their hardest getting to the other end. :p

EDIT: Another one we used to play is 'fouling football'. Much leg bruising guaranteed!

We used to have a version of Bulldog where there was one person against the rest, the one person had a medium sized medicine ball, (IIRC I guess approx 6-8lbs in weight) and they threw it at whoever was nearest as the others ran from one side of the field (or playground or wherever) to the other side, and if it hit them they were out and you carried on untill everyone was out.
The last person out was the next one with the ball.
