Guitar Hero WT or Rockband (PS3)

My daughter wants one or the other of these, but I'm not sure which one would be the better buy?

It appears that both will be released this side of Christmas, but from what I understand Rockband doesn't support GH guitars which she has already has two of with GH3.

Also are the Rockband instruments wireless/any good?

At present it looks like GH:WT will be the better buy but as I don't follow these types of games I thought someone here might be able to help her choose?
 
Ill tell you what im doing, the GHWT bundle 1xguitar 1x mic 1x drumkit and a free bass guitar if you get in quick enough is available from several places for £150. These instruments are will work with Rockband 2 as confirmed by the Sony Blog. This way it seems to work out cheaper than the Rockband bundle as you get 2 guitars, the compatability is only for Rock band 2 which as yet i cant find any info from anywhere. You could just import the Rockband 2 game from the US and use it with the GHWT stuff, which is what i plan to do.

So good that it works with Rock band 2 as I actually like the song list more than the rumoured GHIV one, also the fact that there's an entire backlog of Rockband DLC with much more to come. I also never bought Rockband so I've been waiting for a while.

The only problem I have with that deal is that I don't know what the bass guitar will be like, whether it's an unofficial one or just a second official GHIV guitar.

GHIV will be out before Rock Band 2 so I think for PS3 owners the choice is already set in stone. The actual kit looks better from what I have seen. The drum kit has a second symbol unlike Rock Band which only has four pads, it's wireless, touch sensitive and supposed to be very quiet.

I've made her decision for her, was an easy one in the end she's getting GH:WT, as EA can go **** themselves...

Random or not I still hate them...

As a longstanding multiplatform developer/publisher they shouldn't be agreeing to timed exclusives (Rockband) or exclusive DLC (Mirror's Edge) so from now on they won't be getting a penny of my money..
