Traction Control - On or Off?

You guys have traction control?

flash gits :p

Whenever I want to go anywhere, 90% of the time I have to turn a sharp right up onto a steep hill. If I floor it, the TC kicks in and I end up going nowhere fast, so it's a pain in the bum sometimes. You're not missing much ;)

Can be embarassing for TLGP too. :D

Having laughed at the misfortune of a thread on this very forum about someone who spun his car out of a carpark in the wet because they left TC off I leave my TC on most of the time. It's never been that intrusive day to day and in the dry the warning light flashing normally reminds me to be slightly more forgiving. In the wet it gets a bit more use, RWD + Rain + Roundabout and it reminds me of clubbing in the 90's :D

Surely if you floor it with TC off you'll still go nowhere fast and chew up your tyres in the process? I suggest taking the lead weights off your right foot :p.

I leave DSC on all the time but if the traction control is being intrusive on a spirited drive, I'll turn on DTC which leaves DSC (i.e. the stability control which stops you losing control) on but "turns down" the traction control to the point that it'll only kick in if you spin the wheels up a lot rather than a slip or a hop over a bump. DTC is great for getting a quick launch or driving fast on an uneven surface.

Confused?

Unless I'm going mad, I find that I can still pretty much wear a diver's boot and pull away much quicker than with TC on :) Fair point though :D

I thought you were referring to simulatorman so that's the sig I was looking at.

Go on then, put me out of my misery and tell me what car he has?
