£50 budget - replacement card for HD3850

Ok guys i know this could be a stab in the dark

but second hand or new, what do you reckon is the best card i could get hold of for circa £50

my 3850 nuked itself after 2 months, contacted the retailer....he has sold the company so i am stuffed really and minus £70, told me to contact the manufacturer in China.....which i did and have heard nothing from.

might be able to stretch a little bit, but uber budget is key....im getting married in 12 weeks!!!!

the old one was a Colamax (identical to a Triplex/OCuk card)

when you say the 8800GT do you mean a 512mb? as that would be perfect!....just need to find one lol

Didn't get that from a 'shop' on the bay did you? Don't think I seen those cheap looking cards av anywhere else. Did you use a credit card to pay (sounds like the retailer is just trying to fob you off tbh)?

Second hand 9600GT would be good choice for a replacement, not sure you can find a 8800GT 512MB for less than 50 quid.

Get another 3850. I have both the 3850 and 4850 and there is very little difference when AA is off.

edit: I could even sell you my GeCube 3850 OC version which comes with a dual slot cooler (same as 3870) and 725MHz core speed.
