Looks great and certainly wouldn't say no to a gift one but 40K ? ouch... :o

The 2.5-litre twin-turbo unit in the TT RS will deliver 350bhp – 80bhp more than the TT S – and is mated to a six-speed manual. A seven-speed twin-clutch gearbox will be offered as an option.

Sequential turbochargers ensure that power delivery is linear throughout the rev range. A smaller turbo does the work at lower revs, before the larger blower takes over and provides thrust all the way to the red line.

Audi’s quattro four-wheel-drive system will be used. Combine this with the engine’s torque and a 160kg kerbweight advantage over the R8, and the TT RS shouldn’t be far behind the supercar in a straight line. Expect a 0-60mph time of less than five seconds and a top speed limited to 155mph.

£40k for a car that does 0 - 60 in less than 5seconds, 350bhp and looks sexy (Can't wait to see one in white)

How can you say ouch!?

Fair enough its probably not a very involving drive, but at £40k for a supercar quick car, its not really that much.

HI there

I like it, everything about it could be great if Audi can make it feel good to drive and be involving.

Looks good, may well make a cracking second hand buy. £40k isn't too expensive considering the performance. It's still cheaper than an M3, for example.

Looks pretty cool, be interesting to find out more about the engine, with it being a 2.5... can't see them twin-turboing their fairly underpowered 2.5 20v motor? who knows

You can get sub-5s "supercar-quick" cars for under 10k...

Brand new? Awesome, can you show me?

Who cares about brand-new, when much cheaper cars in great condition can do the same thing. Hell, even top of the line Evos etc are still 10k less brand-new. The point was that it's still a lot of money.

The target market for the TT-RS I would imagine. If you are the sort of person who would consider a TT-RS I doubt you'd instead plump for a 5 year old Evo.

I didnt mean it quite like that. I'm sure it could handle it but.. why? The limited sales of the S3 show us there isn't really that many people who want a small hatchback thats THAT quick.
