New toy not delivered. What's your story?

Well, I bought a 24" *B* Grade monitor from OcUK last week (well happy with it, especailly for £135!) and since my 9 month old GTS 320 isn't up to the job now I decided to buy the 4870. Ordered it monday evening for a wednesday delivery. (Been feeling like I was 10 years old again since then waiting for my new toy). Have been keeping track of the order, it was loaded onto the CityLink van at half six this morning and it still hasn't turned up. I'm gutted. :( Hope it comes tommorrow

IM gonna go out with a totally MAD INSANE guess here and when you check status it will say something along the lines of "delivery point closed, carded". But mysteriously there will be no card.

Just spoke to my boss and apparently Overclockers didn't put the full address on the order. I live in a pub and my boss ordered it on his card (same as monitor last week). The order went to city link with just his name and the street name. So the driver just drove about a bit and left. It's being delivered 2moro :/

Sucks waiting for deliveries. Especially when they fail to turn up.
The "carded" when you was indoors is the worse one though.

Better than mine:

Never showed the day it was on the van for delivery. I rang up at 4.45pm and was assured that it would be delivered that day on a Wednesday.

No deliver. Next day on van again. No delivery. Rang up and was told the van broke down but was told I would definitely get it Friday.

Come Friday, no delivery. I rang tham late on and they said the driver didn't have time to delivery all the packages since he had so many from the day before with the van breaking down.

I went and collected it myself, a 60 mile round trip on the Saturday morning.:(

And the best delivery I ever had, although not by city link by from the post office was a package with just my name and my works street name on. No company name or anything else!

Great thanks to the post office for managing to get that parcel to me and not lost.

Best non computer delivery was a chainsaw. It never arrived and the delivery company said it had been left on my doorstep  Not there when I got home.

They sent another one. A couple of months later and I went into the greenhouse and there was the first chainsaw :D I forgot to send it back to them of course and it went up for auction :D

lol

I one had a delivery by CL (not from OCUK) returned to depot two days on the trot allegedly attempting to deliver.

Turns out they realised mid run (twice) that the parcel (over 100kg) was too heavy and large for one man to unload

Obviously that one man didnt realise this when it was loaded ONTO the van :|

Never had a problem with delivery when ive ordered something from OcUK, and always comes the day it says on the tracking site.:D

I always choose next day deliveries on everything because I hate the standard delivery times :p

I think they sometimes just sent out the cards....... via royal mail :D

I once caught a City Link man walking down my drive with a card and the parcel still in the van.

He actually said "your not normally in..........." :(

Not quite the same. But I ordered some shoes from timberland website that were the wrong size. Phoned them to arrange return and within 1 hour the courier called by and picked them up! Now THAT'S quality after sales service.

12 years ago we ordered some gates for our drive. They were pretty big gates that had to open inwards. They delivered a pair that opened outwards. They then delivered the same type again. They then delivered the correct set.
The next day they delivered the correct set again. The following day they delivered the correct set again. I now had 5 sets of gates. I made at least 4 phone calls and wrote 2 letters.

I still have 4 sets of cast iron gates. They have come in very handy over the years for different things.

I once had a new HP laptop delivered and it was left on my front door step! and it was still there when I got in from work.
