Has allot of crazy questions, it doesnt say how much water would need to fall but it does explain most of what would be required to flood the planet.

There is evidence of the Mediterranean at least once drying out (there are layers of old dry salt under the sea bed) and a land bridge between Spain and Africa collapsing letting the ocean in to form what we know today.

I think the general theory is we all started out in Africa and migrated along the coasts. (The story is NOT to be believed unless you are a gullible fool and you think the world is as it has always been and is only a few thousand years old)
