Crysis Warhead - Gone Gold

Why would piracy prevent them from patching a game that others have actually paid for?

Perhaps it did, but I am kind of hoping it was some sever flaws in the engine that will be addressed in Warhead, and a patch thereafter which will apply the same fixes to the original.

Don't want to get my hopes up too much though. All I want is consistency from the game in performance and scaling.

Well their statement was something along the lines of killing the 1.3 patch and focusing on warhead. Even though its another division of crytek doing warhead. hmm


yerli has stated that an update for crysis to recode the engine to the optomisations that warhead had may happen in the future. Wouldnt hold my breath for it though :(
 
Now according to all the press release stuff from EA/Crytek, Warhead has gone gold and release date is set as 12th Sept for Europe, and 16th Sept for USA etc.

How come then has every game retailer suddenly changed their 'release date' for Warhead to the 26th Sept... :confused:
 
surely people jsut tone down the settings to make it playable on what they have.

I found 2 8800Ultras gave no performance increase over 1 in original crysis and i ran it in DX9 on XP at High 1920x1200 4x aa fine and completed it at that one one 8800 Ultra.

Looks like it might have been delayed a bit, dont see why if its already being duplicated. :confused:
 
Can anyone tell me the cheapest place to preorder this?

If you can't publicise it even tho overclockers don't sell games, then emails in trust. thanks

That is possibly the WORST display of gameplay I have seen in SOOOOOO long.... you'd think it was a 5 yr old plonked in front of Crysis with GOD mode on.... he couldnt even down 4 advancing KPA without dying, by the look of it on easy too! :p

He'll have a problem with the aliens! Truly, deeply shocking. Game looks a laugh tho, still not decided whether to get it from the Rainforest with their later delivery date tho....

Edit: Love those dual machine pistols right at the end, theyre gonna get SOME usage!

Did you try it with patch 1.2? A second card gave me almost 80% boost :eek:
 
I completed the game about 2 weeks after it came out and havent played it since.

I do have it upto date but only for the crysis bench tool
