If you could afford it 42 or 46" plasma?

I have a 50" panasonic and sit just under 3m away... Great for 16:9 movies but 2.4:1 leaves me wishing it was a bit bigger to be honest

then just zoom it to zoom 1 and it fills the screen adn you wont tell the difference from what it was to the zoom 1 feature

oh dear. Not only do you get worse picture quality, but you lose a considerble amount on the sides. So if you want a bigger image but a bigger screen, or sit closer.
