First star wars book

Basically i really enjoyed all the films (watch clone wars saturday), video games and everything else. But i aint read a single star wars book, what would you recommend the sort of book im after really:

Maybe set after Return of the jedi, so i know the old characters, and get introduced to new ones.

Plenty of jedi and sith fighting and learning about the dark side etc

And of course just a good old fun read

I think im gonna get Star Wars - Legacy Of The Force series, but could some one tell me in which order they go, theres about 9 books

Right so for the Star Wars - Legacy Of The Force series we got:

1.Tempest
2.Bloodlines
3.Betrayal
4.Exile
5.Sacrifice
6.Inferno
7.Fury
8.Revelation
9.Invincible

Im gonna buy the Thrawn trilogy first as recommended, as its set 5 years after return of the jedi. And then start the above books, that'll get my star wars juices going
