Hey guys,

I invested in some half decent (at least by my standards, i know it'll be **** to most on here) AV kit a few months ago, and due to the layout of my "play" room the fronts were a little bit cramped:

Moved my PC's to the other end of the room the other day, and managed to get them the correct distance apart, can't beleive i waited so long, they sound SO much better!

Before anyone says it, yes i know i need a new TV but the audio was annoying me far more so I changed that first. Now i'm on the save for a 46" panny unit :) But it's a pretty good Panny CRT, unfortunately not the 100hz version but none the less one of the better 32" CRTs.

The system is as you can see above:

Mission M35i Floorstanders
Mission M3c2 Centre
Mission m32i Rears on mission stands
Paradigm PS1000 Sub
Denon AVR-4306 AV receiver
Vandamme Studio Blue speaker wire (to the fronts and the centre, not finished replacing the rear **** cable yet, on my to do list)

So to you guys with floorstanders couped up close together, things are always better when you spread 'em :p

Tom.

EDIT also, forgot to say, i managed to get the amp and all the speakers bar the sub for £550 due to idiots not being able to list things properly on ebay :D The amp was brand new, RRP of £1500, still selling new for £800, £350 inc postage :D

it's a converted garage :p the red drape covers the door. I need to get a bit of wider material now i've moved the PCs from that corner though.

Here's how it looked before i moved the PCs and with my old surround set up:

On a side note, does anyone know where i can get a decent 160cm or thereabouts plain table from to use instead of these crappy cheap desks I bought just to fit behind the door?

IKEA Galant (I think).

I bought one a couple of years back which is 160x80cm. There's a choice of legs etc as well.

Here's an old shot of mine with the optional drawer pack.

I agree it looks like a pron studio, where are the playboy bunnys ?

Love the setup, and the whole room looks awesome. It was criminal having them soo clse to your tv, and Im surprised the didn't cause havoc with the picture, unless of course they are magnetically sealed.

Don't worry about the tv, it's better than any LCD and most plasmas for normal SD viewing :D

No frame was needed for my desk, It was as simple as screwing the legs into place (the holes are pre-drilled). There are also a pair of metal strips which I believe are to be used with trestles.

That desk looks nice, though it isn't solid wood so may not be very hard wearing.
