whats the best bargain you ever got and how did you get it?

my best bargain was probably from ocuk  some altec lansing speakers that cost £110 quid, the wall mounts were missing so I got them for £20 :D (this was a couple of years ago and they are still going strong)

My GF the otehr day bought some stuff on her card, and the girl behind the counter gave her change :/

As for me...dont think ive got any good bargains lately :(

A guitar on ebay that I paid £60 then sold about 9 months later for just over £400.

The guy originally spelt the name wrong and listed it in the wrong place alone with REALLY bad pics.

I recognised it and bid £150, auction ended at £60 with 1 bid, mine :D

For those guitarists wondering it was a 1980's Ibanez RG550.

Probably our Samsung american style frdg-freezer at the start of the year.
Should have been £950, sales price was £599. The donuts delivering it scratched it, so i rang the company up and asked them to discount it instead of the expense of bringing out a new one. Got £120 back, so i ended up paying £479, almost half price. By the time it was delivered they were back up at £950 in the shop.

Also a few years back the guy i worked for, well his dad bought a brand new nissan, but the dealers changed hands after about 3 months and his payments suddenly stopped. They never contacted him and he never paid a penny more! Jammy git!

On getting my injections for Thailand, the nurse asked me how long i was going for.

30 days i said.

So she gave me 200 condoms.

Got a hol for 2 in Spain, 1 week, flights, hotel transfers for £1 from an auction site ages ago

couple of family members used it and all was great

Went into a shop to get change about a month ago, bought a bottle of Pepsi with a tenner and got about £19 change xD

We had our phone and broadband with Eircom but changed our phone service to a different company. Eircom stopped billing us but kept giving us broadband. We got free broadband for about 18 - 24 months at €40 a month. They eventually copped on and started charging us but never charged us for the months they missed.

hmm

Flights MAN-JFK for £155
Villa in Orlando - £195 for a week.
iPhone 3g £240

That's the stuff I used anyway, the rest of my bargains were all sold on eBay.

Can't think of one for me, but with a mate, he just got a ~£450 4x12 guitar cabinet (trace elliot) for £45 on ebay.

Basically the guy didn't know what to do, and said collection only, despite living in the middle of nowhere (handily near my mate), and set no reserve. :p

Apparently he was not happy!

Top Gear gave me £250 for a 15 minute email I sent off addressed to James May.

I never imagined they would ever publish it, let alone call it the best letter they received that month and pay me for it.

19" Sony Trinatron CRT monitor for $25 from a college clear-out warehouse. Best image quality I've ever seen. RGB inputs with RGB cables included. Wife is a graphic designer so she loved it.
