Any word on OcUK responding to the quite nice AMD pricedrops recently? Contemplating building a Phenom rig for a serious budget build and they really did drop quite a bit?

i was wondering this as they dropped the prices last night.
but is it just for the U.S or world wide?

I know its a long shot but does anyone have any prices on Deneb compared to Corei7?

It must be world wide (isn't it always?) as I recieved an email from a competitor with "AMD Phenom price drop" splashed all over it.

Wild speculations that the Deneb FX chips will be $499 to $1000

Core i7 seems to be as follows:

900 Extreme $999
900 $562
800 $284

A lot depends on the speed and performance of the Deneb as to their price point. If slower than Corei7 then they can't charge more. They are not due until Summer 2009 so far too early to know performance and hence price.

before Deneb-FX though there is just "Deneb" isn't there? set for Q1 '09

lol, what is the deal with the 9150e? It's priced so wrongly that there is absolutely no point in it's existance...
A few £'s more and you could have a far superior 9850 or even 9950... Low power useage Phenom? Just downclock the 9850, you'd always have the ability to push the speed up when needed.

True, but some people would not want to mess with that, espically if buying in large quantities :)
