So 6 weeks !! you must be doing something wrong
For the sparkling green pixels issues the monitor needs to go back to Hazro as additional shielding on the IO board cabling is needed which resolves the issue the email states.
Not sure if this will work the standard swap out method or if its a send it in and wait scenario.
The wording in the email is vague.
However can the green snow be elaborated - can it be tested for by using a particular image/movie/game/etc? (had a look at mrk video that shows the green snow - just wondering if it happens on certain occassions!)
What's strange is that before I sent mine back for good, I only ever got the green snow in OSX. Maybe the onboard Radeon on the Mac Mini G4 sent more juice down the DVI cable?
The default Leopard background had green speckles in the dark patches.
What monitor are you getting instead philjohn?
I've already got it, I bit the bullet and got the HP LP2475w, posted my experiences over in the thread dedicated to the monitor.
I do miss the Hazro, and I'll probably get one again - but for now I need a monitor that just works and isn't going to need packing up and shipping back for a firmware/hardware fix. By that point it'll be a 30" I'll be looking at (after a few months, 24" just seems a tad cramped), and the Hazro pro range (26" and 30") are meant to be getting programmable LUTS before too much longer![]()
what do you miss in the Hazro?
what is the HP lacking ?
I would've kept mine too but 450 for something with problems isn't an option for me either
anyone heard anything yet?
I was thinking today, his firmware fix is probably just to stop us all sending back via DSR tbh.
by the time the fix never appears were well out of a month.
