It is all part of the big plan. More police control.
Quite frankly I am not happy such technology is in the hands of twelve year old political puppets with learning difficulties that are laughably called a police officers these days.
Maybe I am being naive but, just for a moment, let's pretend they spend the research budgets for all of those weapons on making life better for people and solving their problems then perhaps it wouldn't be necessary to invent such devices in the first place. Same goes for CCTV, RFI chips, DNA and all the other amazing technologies that, over the years, have all claimed to swing the favour towards justice. The result is always the same, crime keeps rising and keeps getting worse.
That said, I will take ten numbers 5's please.

I remember seeing the XREP shotgun fired taser cartridge on Future Weapons a while back - looked awesome then and if it does come into use it'll be pretty effective.

But it requires a long shotgun, so it's not very practical. A standard tazer is what is needed for the average beat bobby.

True that but it will still be very useful for situations where it would be risky to get too close to someone in order to fire a tazer - like where you have hooligans hurling things at you!
Well it's meant for the situations where they normally shoot them with their pistols/shotguns anyway.

They're all single use - especially the XREP ones which burst out of the shotgun shell when fired.
the barbs etc (basically the whole front bit of the gun) is a cartridge it's just taken off and replaced.

Being serious though good on them, the police need much more than what they currently have. Stun guns need to be given to all officers. What good is a baton you need to be in cuddling distance for a baton, which isn't very safe.

I'm all for police brutality.. People get away with far too much and the police have to put up with scum.
Theres people in this country which need a good beating to keep them in place.
