The 4870 ain't as good PPD as the Nvidia cards but it's getting a lot better, 3.5K PPD on the new 474x cores :D

Thanks for the news, i will have 2 extra GPU clients online very soon.

Quite an improvement :D But my overclocked 8800m GTX's are doing 4700PPD each O_O
 
I can't wait for next weeks news :D

Woooo... i should be making bigger waves at the end of next week... just bought a 8800gt :) I hear the Nvidia app is a lot better than the ati one, correct?

Any idea what im looking at on the 8800gt? Im getting about 2000 ppd using a 3870...

The PPD does vary a bit by WU. I'm at 675c/1780s/975m on my GT and I generally see 5100ppd. But a couple of the projects seem to give me 5500-5600.
 
Is there any news on the ATI client getting any love?? Seems madness that I can get a second hand card for 80 that is blowing away my 4870!! Oh well, the dedicated rig will get 2 8800 GT's for the moment.
 
I checked back a few days after I bought the card and it was no longer listed, so the seller had sold out and clearly didn't think they'd be getting any more in.

Suppose I was lucky.

AMD client getting 3500ppd now on a 4870 vs 2000 on the old WU's, some of those are still around but almost all one the ones i receive are the new higher-points ones, and they have promised even more optimizations so the AMD client is really getting better as they had promised.
