My game now keeps crashing.

I'm at the bit where they lower a bridge for you, while you take the bandits out.

Completed that, went to the next area - loading - crash.

Now when I reload my last save it works for 20 secs - crash into windows.


I'm selling this piece of ****
 
Gonna wait for the next patch before playing. I tried it for an hour on Vista 64 and had 2 CTDs, so started again on XP 32 and got a CTD after 30 mins. That's just too unstable to play.

Seriously, I was expecting a complete performance hog, this is the opposite. My old 8800GT handles it well, surprisingly.

Full dynamic lighting isn't high settings in Clear Sky. You're basically running it without the new lighting. It's a very demanding game on the really high settings.

Well, I couldn't see a difference in the starting area of the game.

and it's still high settings, textures and what not all ramped up to the max.
 
Can anyone help me install the oblivion lost mode please ;

How to install?

"1. You must delete everything from the previous versions, and install a clean Oblivion Lost 2.1 without any side-mods!

2. You should edit the fsgame.ltx and at the gamedata line change both variables to true (one of them is already true)

3. Copy the content of the package to your Stalker gamedir (if you don't have a gamedata folder, don't worry, this mod will create it)

I have done no 2 and extracted (replacing)all files using winRAW to just about everywhere in stalker but no joy ,

can not find no 3

very grateful for any help
 
getting really bad fps lag on my system :/ not good at all considering i have a 4870x2

not too impressed so far :(

Go into your main Stalker DIR and check there is a folder called gamedata in there or not. Go into the zip file for Oblivion lost and you should see one folder and its called gamedata. Copy this folder into your main Stalker folder. All the files for the mod (shaders, textures etc) should in turn sit in the Gamedata folder which sits in the Stalker main folder.

Oh hang on, I have just repeated the instructions above :P

As far as I know he's the only Guide in the Swamp who'll take me to Cordan. I tried just going across the border myself but it just tells me to go back as I need a Guide. I even killed him to see if that'd trigger something but that just lowered my reputation and makes someone else take his place who too won't take me.

Sounds like this is another lame game breaking bug. Maybe there's a console command to override it.
