Just had some parcels delivered today , i didn't think they did sunday delivery anymore?... Made me think it was still saturday lol
 
He moaned " I could've be at home reading my sunday paper "

I said " Could be worse , you could be delivering the mail in a boat like up norf "

Decent bloke though , spoken to him before ;)

Sunday and bank holiday collections were stopped quite a while ago. In general there will not be sunday deliveries. What sometimes happens is if there is high mail volume in the week some packets/parcels are left and delivered on overtime on sundays, I've only heard of this happening at Christmas though :confused:
 
Either that or he was an Afghan dressed as a postie delivering C4 to different parts of the area ready for a big bang. :)

Only time it happens in our office and is rare is around Christmas time due to the vastly increased packets and mail and maybe an odd time when say a new starter has worked all week and decided to leave/quit half way through his round on a Saturday, can remember this year one guy had to deliver the rest of the walk on a Sunday morning :D

They still do Sunday deliveries.

I recieved an item from a very large online shop. Had an RoyalMail sticker on the parcel, though it was delivered by a bloke in a car :)

No RM doesn’t do Sunday deliveries, only certain circumstances like I posted above. Sounds like a courier.

Ha ha....this exact same thing happened to a guy I trained. Came in for his first day all alone, must have seen the giant mound of Christmas mail sitting on the frame, and walked out 40 minutes in. I would've probably done the same.

Happens all the time I’m afraid, people don’t realise just how much mail a postman delivers especially around Christmas most of do us feel like walking out during the mad mail rush!! :eek:


Started getting mental over the past two weeks here and is going to get worse, what with job cuts and everything else going on hard times to come, what’s it like where you are?

Well RM don’t do Sunday deliveries, it may of said Royal Mail on it but I can be 100% sure the company won’t be using RM for Sunday deliveries, all the sorting offices are shut so I cannot see how the company you are referring to are using RM for Sunday deliveries, Just isn’t possible.
