Amir Khan vs Briedis Prescott

Are they separate things?

Hamed was one of the greatest British fighters of all time. He lost to one of the greatest fighters in the world and hadn't been on form for his previous 3 fights. The writing was on the wall for Naz before he fought Barerra. By your logic, Hatton too is a bum because of the Mayweather defeat.

I would like to see Amir Khan take on Hatton ? very interesting :p

Was gonna say that's a bit harsh on Naz he was actually a top class fighter who just got sucked into his own hype machine and lost the heart for the game.

Losing to Barrera was no disgrace Barrera is one of the great fighters of this era.

Amir is a bit like Nas was at the end of his career believing in his own hype with an entourage of thousands, unfortunately he's 21 not at the end of his career!

Not really. Hatton would nullify Khans range and speed and eventually grind him down and stop him, probs within 4 rounds. Hatton is just too experienced for Khan at this stage.

The comment by robz8701 made me LOL.

'Seeing as Amir can't further line his pockets by conning the UK public he's going to write an autobiography, not official but the working title is called "Gone in 60 Seconds".'

This IMO is complete and utter BS I keep hearing over and over again. He wasnt groomed against poor opposition, he fought against fighters through the ranks. He made easy work of it because he was much better than they were. The problem of making rise too quickly is what we saw yesterday, which was he was totally out classed.

He fought against against nobodies, the real problem is he was convinced or tried to convince himself that they were real quality fighters he was beating, they were not, they were past it has beens who were once good fighters but were dragged out for a pay day, or people who just boxed the circuit for a living.
The first REAL fighter he has come up against, someone of similar weight, with similar reach and build and only 25 years old, not someone who is conceding reach, weight and 10+ years older, has not just demolished him he's DESTROYED him in a few seconds, no lucky punches, no flukey punchers chance knockout, he's thrown a handful of accurate and powerful punches that have destroyed him, and possibly his career because this Columbian is no world beater, he's a decent fighter and nothing more.

Lol, he got demolished, I don't know what the dude is going on about, he should have known better and covered up and won ugly. Firstly defence has been trained out of him, when you fight complete no hopers fight after fight after fight, you simply, no matter how you train, waste less effort in a fight by not defending properly, theres nothing worse than fighting terrible fighters as it teaches you defence is a waste.

he's utterly hopeless, without much power at all and a ridiculously poor defence with no chin at all. THe only reason people thought he was good was because he's british, big whoop. We've seen it time and time again, you teach fighters bad habits and bad tactics by having them fight crap boxers.

Well said. He should have had less fights, with harder opponents. I'm just shocked the fight ended so quickly and mistakes were made. Prove's that his trainer did next to nothing to be honest.

Frank Warren should have also known better to be putting him up against someone's who's out of Amir's league. Only one can wait now to see if he does come back from it, would be a miracle as it's just so embarrasing on how it happend.

Wish him luck.
