Any good?

I currently have a 17" Samsung HD LCD, the TV before that being an 8 year old 14"

Looking for something in the region of 32" with freeview and 1080i

Don't really want to spend anymore than £350 if possible.

Just found this online for under £300:

Sense 32" HD Ready LCD TV Digital Freeview 1366x768 500cd/m2 800:1 HDMIx2/PC Input Gloss Black **Samsung Panel**

+1; My friend bought the Hyundai A321 a couple years ago, and despite the original coming from a dodgy batch, after a few replacements it's still a nice TV. Not cheap looking either. I presume the E323D carries on from the A321.

Not entirely sure on the rules for posting things like this, but you can get the Panasonic TX32LMD70 from richersounds for £349.95 (If you quote the 'what hi-fi' advert price)... if they have stock, mine arrived yesterday, but still in the box! I'm out all day :(

wont you be better off saving a bit more and going for a screen with 1080p ?

so that you can view bluray or play ps3 /360 on it ?

i'm looking at tvs around this size but think better to wait and get 1080p tv

I couldn't care less about 1080p.

I have no use for it. 1080i is absolutely fine.

awful contrast ratio. You want something in the realms of 10,000:1. The LG is 15,000:1 (apparently)
To be fair the contrast rating on most TVs is dynamic, whereas I believe the Sense is a more realistic native rating, so it actually isnt as bad as it sounds; I'd imagine that LG might only be 1000/1200:1 in reality, not the excessive Dynamic rating they list. The sense really isnt a bad TV for the money (I have one) although there is much better, but if you're really on a budget, go for it; it may surprise you.

1080P isnt worth it unless exceedingly close, or on a larger screen.
