Hi guys, ive finally got 4000ghz out of my quad core processor after a lot of trial and error however, Pc mark vantage is reporting just over 6000....

fsb 333
memory 1333 ghz etc

I actually enjoy the trial and error and know that i cant be given a set of instructions to automatically improve my system, i just need to know what else can affect these scores both positively and negatively... And then ill begin tweaking again..

gx2 9800
ddr3 reaper x 4g 2 sticks
striker 2 extreme

i think IBM made a supercooled 500Ghz chip, so 4000Ghz would be a very good result, how much you spend on it? 1billion?

joking aside, run Nuclearus 2.0 as a good CPU program

Ok guys you got me!!!! how dumb do i look right now>>>> It was very late that post so forgive me i meant 4ghz or 4000mhz.... but anyway , yes im just looking at other options to adjust now as im happy at that speed> benchmarks i have are pc mark vantage and sisoft sandra.... The vantage result is what im bemused with.... im yet to run the sandra...

Was gonna say. Imagine having a Q6600 clocked stable at 4Ghz. :D

A good clock on the QX9650 though. The naff score on Vantage may be down to your GFX Card. What is it?

i have the nvidia 9800 gx2 in sli ( two cards)... im pretty sure i have the latest drivers installed but ill check.... memory is ocz 2sticks 2gb each reaper x ddr3.... asus striker 2 extreme motherboard... etc
any suggestions??

If your getting performance drops at a given OC its generally either due to overheating or an FSB hole with the motherboard - even changing the FSB up or down by 1MHz can get you onto a different strap.

PCmark vantage tests lots of things though. Use cinebench for a better cpu comparison. Im sure a few people here have q6600s at around 3.6-3.8ghz, so you can compare it to those scores.

Fair enough, just ran the cinebench....

Ren sing 4881
ren multi 17445
multi s 3.57
shading 5412

Can anyone relate to how these scores fair????
Also i have a stable 4ghz overclock that i have been working on just want to overclock the memory now but having problems... my ocz reaper x dd3 ram should do 1333mhz at 1.85 volts stock with the following timings 5 6 6 18 1t .however it wont boot unless i change the first timing to 7???? Any suggestions as to the potential overclock of this....
Downloaded latest drivers for the 9800 x2 graphics and will run futuremark again as ive read that this can affect result dramatically online....
