oh and by the way whilst Baird got there first his design was **** and Marconis TV has 2/3 extra lines so the BBC dropped barids design for his.

Most of the Scots intentions were inconsequential pal - the English gave you the world you live in - in the case of the Scots we gave you your national pride - look up your Scottish Enlightenment period and your inventors whom came into being during/because of it - its a matter of historical fact that Scotland went from a debt ridden and poverty stricken country into one of the wealthiest in Europe because we allowed you into our Empire.

We supported you for 260 years before Oil ever became an issue - you will never be able to repay us so why should we hand the life blood of the planet to you? you would have got it by blind luck not by hard work.

sorry to rant but this Scottish attitude really annoys me - most of the people whom spout this **** don’t knwow hat they are on about - The Scots can have independence anytime they want - Salmond is waiting because the answer if, he asked now, would be an emphatic No and thinks if he asks in three years when most liktly conservatives (or the definitive Evil English lol party) are in power the scots are more likely to say yes.

The electric generator - (Lets face it i could say Michael Farraday and leave this thread right now)

The world Wide Web?? lol (Jim Berniers-Lee)
the Computer (Tommy Flowers)
Mapping the Genome
Charles Darwin - Evolution? lol


if the English had done nothing but the above we could trade on it with immense pride but I could literally go on and on.

the above truly changed the world - The Scots are an amazing race of people and have done amazing things and by and large the English love them - we are just sick of being accused of repressing them.

The UK is all the better for having Scotland within it just don’t take the ****

Hows about an independant england then?! ditch of the fail states that for one reason or another cling to england and drag it down! Or even an independant south and ditch everything north of watford gap for being tupnorth! (yeah im from the south of england)

On a serious(ish) note, breaking from the union just will never happen, its just flatly a bad idea in all respects with pointless nationalism as a result (and a lot of wasted time and money re-setting things up)

All hail the greater good of the EU....ish
