Most suprising movie deaths

The Blonde girlfriend in AVP Requiem.

Good call.

Although not surprising, some of the deaths in the Final Destination series are pretty elaborate the first time round.

Most surprising non-death = SAW when he gets up at the end.

EDIT - bugger FD already mentioned. um, Optimus Prime?

The main character in No Country For Old Men. The fact that he was in pretty much all the scenes up until that point and then the film carried on for 45 minutes after he died was weird.

i watched a film about a family.

and in this neighborhood one of the neighboring family's was killing off people and they eventually found out, but then they got bunked off themselves.

end of film, it was a bit like er.....wtf?

Given that i'd never read the books and didn't know anything about the story, Boromirs death in LotR.

Apart from that, probably the blonde chick in AvP2

He doesn't die.

I didn't think it was resolved one way or the other. You see him lying on the steps having been shot with Ms Miller cradling him in her arms and that is about the last thing shown - I'd have thought you were free to assume life or death as you chose.

On a similar note I watched In Bruges last night, really good film with bleakly black comedy but you see Colin Farrell shot at the end and don't know for certain whether he lives or dies.
