Ok im decorating my spare room and the old PC desk is just not going to make the grade.

Im after something that will be:
Comfortable for quite long MMo sessions(planning on getting into WAR) or god forbid doing some work.
Fairly high (im 6'7" so have my chair quite high obviously).
Doesnt have a keyboard shelf undernether it (pointless and they get in the way of my legs)
Will allow Dual monitors (Ie doesnt have one small monitor stand) either no shelf or a long one.
Decent cable routing.
Some filing space would be nice but not a deal breaker.
Not £19.99 tat, has to look pretty smart.

Any one got any recomendations? I dont want to spank a tonne of cast but £100-150 would be ok.

What do People think of Glass desks? are they comfortable or do they get all sweaty and dirty?.

I cant stand glass desks personally.
Stick with a good old wooden desk as for where to get one. MFI maybe or if you live near one ikea do some nice cheap desks.

I live near one (the same one as you actually) but going to Ikea makes me cry. and I didnt see anything inspiring on their rather rubbish website.

I use a normal desk originally meant for a kitchen table, its the right size so keeps me happy, and glass, yuck.

hehe going to ikea might be a mission in itself but you will get fairly decent desk cheap. Dont go by their website though ikeas website is awful. just go have a look instore. The one badbob is a nice one.
That or take a look in MFI but they will be a lot more expensive

Well they are cheap so ofc your not going to get fantastic quality.
Although i do agree prob best to buy wood and make it yourself. Its what i did desk has lasted me 2 years now and still going strong

Ikea desks are awful.

Your best bet is to make one yourself. Get the wood and design it yourself.

i did my own - it looks ok
but i made it too high and have to lean my writs on an open drawer for playing games in the 'wasd' position

[ADSTA - mouse arrived today mate - its quality - thanks a lot]

No offence, but that Ikea one looks awful :p

It's a functional computer desk. Try and find me another desk that will fit B&W 601 speakers, 24" monitor, center speaker, Arcam Alpha 9 amp, keyboard mouse pad, place for flight joystick/thrust thingy, and still plenty of room for another hi-fi component and another set of standmount speakers.

New Morgan Collection, or google reception desk you can get some nice big decent reception desks for £100-£200.
Here is the morgan range corner desk courtesy of Mansize Tissue from the desktop and room gallery in the cases forum.
Hope he doesn't mind me using his pic.
