Just seen the news over at RPS. After playing the demo though this is one that has fallen off my radar.

In case anyone doesn't understand my title, this is what Lucasarts had to say when it was first announced that no PC title would be made.

“[The] PC being the gaming platform that it is, someone with a $4,000 high-end system would definitely be able to play the Euphoria, the DMM and really technical elements of the game. But someone with a low-end PC would have a watered down experience, they would have to turn all the settings down and it wouldn’t be the same game. On the other hand if we made that game for as many people as possible, because we are trying to make mass market games, something that everybody can enjoy, well then it’s not taking advantage of what those $4,000 systems can do. So one way or the other depending on how you build that lead PC SKU, it’s not going to be for the same amount of people, it’s going to be not as good or only for a select few people.”

DAMN! I wonder when this is coming out on the PC. I played the demo on the PS3 and really enjoyed it (I need a break from wow damn it)...

Maybe I will get it on the PS3 and then sell that and purchase the PC version, which we all know will be modded with various extra goodies - (I mean by the community before anyone jumps on this post).
 
if ps3 and xbox can handle it will be no sweat for pc well of course if there is going to be more detail and etc
 
tried the PS3 demo and thought the graphics were quite sub par, gameplay is obviously the main thing but $4000 pc to make it playable ? yeah right !

This is probably the best news I have had all year.
 
I did enjoy the demo on the 360. I do prefer my games on PC so I'll wait for this to come out.
 
So, Wiimote hack mod for this game then ? since wiimote is bluetooth and all and works fine on PC :D
 
Now BlueNews are reporting that this is definitely not coming...

We received a statement from LucasArts regarding the possibility of a PC edition of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed referenced in the story below. While they cannot be certain what it was the Pixelux Entertainment COO said on the topic, they are unequivocal in their denial that a PC pot is in the works: "I can tell you definitively that there is no PC version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed planned."

Edit - direct from LucasArts - “I can tell you definitively that there is no PC version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed planned. I would assume Vik was talking about a PC version of Digital Molecular Matter.”
