Had the phone a few days and its great.

Once major thing i noticed today was, when you flip from portrait to landscape (popping out the qwerty keyboard) the quality of the text shown on screen degrades. I mean the edges on the text go grainy.

Can someone please please check this on there phone so at least i know its not me.

Not wishing to nit pick but once you know its there it gets irritating using it in landscape.

Can be best seen on sms and contacts page.

off to read the manual, anyone know how to enable it let me know.

Hadn't actually noticed this until your post. Appears cleartype is disabled on screen rotation. Edit the reg key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/GDI/CLearTypeSettings

set offonrotation REG_DWORD to 0

Works on mine :)
 
I'm interested in this phone however I've a few questions:

Is it going to be released on any network or am I forced to get it SIM free (£500!)?

Is the flash on the camera dual/single LED or Xenon (doubt it)? Can anyone upload a sample of what it's like to take a photo in pitch black?

It's got no (or hardly any) internal storage right - I'll have to make do with dumping all my media onto a microSD card?

Finally, I take it the HTC ExtUSB™(11-pin mini-USB 2.0, audio jack, and TV Out in one) means it doesn't have a dedicated 3.5mm TRS connector where I can use my own earphones for music on-the-go?

a) I hope so, I am waiting for it to get a branded version
b) LED
c) 500MB ROM, but it has an micro-SD slot, unlike the Diamond
d) Correct, but you can get adaptors for like £5, not a problem :)
 
Thanks for the advise guys, how do i get into the reg edit file using total commander?? any ideas

On a side note also, I can surf the web etc on t mobile 7.50 web and walk but wont log into live messanger, any ideas??

I used ceregedit to edit the reg.

I'm on standard WnW. Couldn't log into messenger, but could after I removed the t-mobile proxy, against the T&Cs to use messenger on stnd WnW though.

Had to remove the proxy to get the USB pass through to work.
 
Nice info guys. I cant even find a shop that will sell me a Touch Pro yet, not even found one in the shops...

Looks good and cant wait to get one sorted for me.
