Shame really, would've been a good advert for nvidia's physX
I think lucasarts have a reasonable point with the whole force unleashed thing tbh. Think of it this way, the force unleashed is one of (if not the) only games thats gameplay is hinged on physics processing. While in games like crysis you can just turn down the physics detail when your system starts to get upset with no other real effect other than eye candy, in the force unleashed if you did it would take away from the gameplay itself.
While i'm sure 90% of users on this forum have the multiple core CPUs that make physics processing an absolute breeze, i bet the standard consumer is much less likely to have hardware capable of it. While the 360 and PS3 are obviously inferior to the sort of PCs most people on here will have, they DO have multiple core processors as standard and thus the physics that the gameplay hinges on can be utilized with the hardware available in mind. When a core gameplay mechanic relies on hardware it is difficult to make it scalable for low end systems.
Meh, it's all a moot point anyway, as stated above the game still isn't coming to the PC, and the demo was a bit average imo anyway.
So the Wii can run it and any pc build/brought in the last 18 months cannot ?.
A PC could run TFU with no problems whatsoever. Physics isn't *that* intensive, and the graphics in TFU certainly aren't something that compares to Crysis. Basically the $4000 argument is a cop out - they are too concerned about piracy.
