Just adding some photos here for my brother - these are for the other keen aviators to have a look at! Pics all taken from this weekends airshow at the north coast here in NI.

Thanks for looking.

Great photos. I especially like the second one. Really wish I could get along to an air show sometime, but I always miss them.

Good photos. The 2nd photo of the Red Arrows works well.

I think the first two could benefit from a bit more saturation and a touch more contrast.

Will pass on the info. Your online galleries are just something else! I would really love to head to some of those low fly areas. Are you guaranteed activity every day or is it hit and miss?

Thanks!

It's very hit and miss, which I think adds to the experience. You never really know what will turn up and when a front liner turns up it really makes your day.

I've been there on hot sunny days and only seen one helicopter and I've been in the middle of winter with thick fog that I would have thought would be impossible to fly in and had front line fast jets come through.

Been meaning to go for at least two months now but it's a long drive for me (isn't cheap with fuel prices either!) and I want to pick a day with good weather. So far the weather isn't playing ball. :(

I'd be really keen to take a trip over - i think the best option for us guys is the scottish borders. Get the boat over and hopefully no more than an hrs drive. Are there days where there is no activity at all? I'd be ragin if I saw nothing! It sounds great fun and the noise of the jets must be insane through the valleys.

Scotland is very quiet but there are some very good back drops if you do get some traffic. I'd have though the Lakes would be your best bet, taking into account traveling and the chance of seeing something.

Touch wood, I've never had a blank, but I have had days where I've only seen one aircraft! And more than a few where I've only had less than five.
