Fifth gear on channel 5 now

I just find some of 5th gears features a bit *lame*

Don't get me wrong I like the show when theres good stuff on but sometimes it's just a bit 'meh'

I think they need to make it more interesting like do more features on track days or rallying or visits to a car factory or go into the history or go on about some classics in detail.. (I hope your reading this 5th gear)
 
I watched one episode of this where they tested the effects of cannibis whilst driving. I thought it was supposed to be a show about cars, not drugs. Absolutely ridiculous, I've never watched one again, and quite frankly wouldn't- for the fact that the presenters are in the top 10 percent of most annoying people in the world. imo.
 
Why all the hating? Nobody forces you to watch it and I guarantee you couldn't do better. Plato and Tiff are entertaining to watch and the features are usually a bit more relevant than TG.
Beats the hell out of soaps and crime videos anyday.
 
TG & FG are two different shows and both shows have a mutual respect, or at least when asked about the other show publically they state that they are not competing, as they aren't.

I enjoy both, both have their flaws and they have their great moments, just like watching any other show. If you like one more than another then fair enough. It's like preferring Corrie over Belle... I mean... Eastenders.
 
I agree it is a right load of old smelly pants and seems to get worse if anything every season but I might have to force myself to watch it tonight as apparantly VBH is putting the Focus ST up against the Astra Nurburgring which should be interesting. Fully expecting the honours to go to the Astra though tbh..

i do watch fifth gear as all in all, its an hour of bearable tv

however it just doesnt have that..'grip' on you like top gear does.
 
To me top gear is too much about the presenters than the cars, and I dislike how it they try to make it look unscripted, when it obviously is
 
Go on Focus, VXR may have the power but did not get a v.good review by Vicky and was slower around the track? Wonder how the Megane F1 compares on lap times having a LSD :)

HI there

I have driven the Focus ST and an Astra VXR and I would take the Ford everytime too. For Vauxhall has noticable torque steer, wheras the Ford seems to hide it a lot more and getting extra power from the ST is cheap and easy wheras I think the Astra cost quite a bit of money to get more out of it.
