Failed test for splashing...

If I splash a puddle onto some pedestrians, is that considered dangerous driving? What part of the highway code am I breaking. The reason I ask is this was never covered when I learn to drive.

Nothing much happening in the world, huh?

Deserved fail; consideration to others is a basic part of driving.

Perhaps i'm one of the few that actually thinks it's a bit silly.... A lot of the road surfaces seem to be really crap at dealing with water and puddles do form. Short of slowing to a silly speed and risking the 4x4 mother who is looking in her mirror at the kids playing up in the back and then going into you. There is always going to be a splash in one of the many large puddles that tend to form at the side of the road.

Yep fair enough if it was too dangerous to swerve the puddle but its not dangerous to slow to a speed that wont make a splash big enough to wet a pedestrian.

FAIL!

fair fail - it was deep by the road the other day and a lorry driver slowed right down, but the next 3 cars got me soaked!

Anyway - doesn't look like she's that great:
Ms Kelly now faces taking her test again - for the fourth time.

You should be treating a puddle as a hazard, slow down whereas riding through wouldn't cause any major wetness on people walking by just treat it like a motorway.

It's not that hard, she should have 'anticipated' the hazard. You start soaking people like that and someone will drag you out.
