What will Overclockers send me

I am desperate to track down an E0 stepping of the E8400. I know the code I need to see on the box but can I get overclockers to only send me that one?

i'd recomend spending an extra £60 and getting the E8600 E0 stepping.

I wish i could but dont have the money, I am already at the top of my budget.

I would expect a specialist store to be able to pick me one out of the 8400 tho

Doubt they will have you ring them up, I've tried over the phone once and via webnote twice and each time they have said "sorry we can't garunteed batches"

You can do what I did though, order one, if it's not what you want, send it back as unwanted under the distance selling act and get a full refund, just costs you postage.

I have now spoken to overclockers and they claim they cant guaratee because the stock comes from different supplie who each have different batches, however they can on the E8600 becuase it come frm one supplier.

Seems to me that overclockers have found a way of making knowledgeable overclockers pay extra from a better cpu to confirm stepping. I cant beleive that they get the 8600 from one supplier and theothers from various!

The reason they gave why the E8600 is guaraneed E0 is irrelevant. It doesn't matter which supplier it comes from because they only made the E8600 in E0 steppings

no it's just a C0 stepping. They should not be all overlooked as there are some good ones.

That said, I've just bought an E0 e8500

nope it was a purchase from a person. only a 1 time deal I'm afraid.

Overclockers have been sending out E8500 E0 steppings though, but they also might send a C0

The e8500 I got a couple of weeks back from OcUK was a an E0 hand I have had it up to just shy of 4.3 so far.
