What words make you cringe?

My gf when she's messin about likes to say "what's up blood?" and i cant stand it!! Makes me want to wash her mouth out with soap lol!!

The word 'sweet' when used to talk to someone. My ex used to call me 'sweet' toward the end of our relationship, it used to annoy me so much I'd just ignore her. If it was 'sweetie' or something then I would have been able to handle it, but the word by itself like that is just really annoying.

What compounded my dislike for the word used in the context of talking to someone is a guy I know (and don't really like) was at a party I attended and was calling all of the girls 'sweet'. He'd never met them before and the use of it was just so out of place.

It's actually spelt 'blud' from what I understand, which is even worse.

Was just reading through the replies before posting that :D

A guy I work with quivers whenever that word is mentioned, we say it to him all the time just to see the reaction!

I know how he feels mate. The whole reason it has such a profound affect on me is because a girl I was seeing used it at the worst time possible!

Put me off for ages!

Ah so it is, she's written it like that to me before on msn or something. Can't stand that type of language, "blud", "bruv" ect.

only one that gets an extraordinary reaction from me is the stereotype yuppy "ciao" used by a stereotype yuppy with an Eton accent. "Oh yes, yes, I'm must dash old chap, need to feed the horses what what. Ciao."

" i suppose "

people say this when confronted with a statement that they either don't agree with but are to lilly livered to say, or don't understand said statement and don't want to give the impression of not having an opinion .

it should be banned , its lazy and ignorant.

Not really a word, but people pronoucing H like Rach (short for rachel) but replacing the R with an H...your not meant to put the H sound on the sound for H
