Easy Equation Writing

Hi,

I'm trying to write equations to keep as notes for my A level in Further Maths. It requires lots of square roots etc and Word isn't really powerful or easy enough to write them.

Any ideas?

just to check that you've got the equation editor installed; its good enough for me, but then I only do a little maths in my job these days

^^ as above. I used that in all of my courseworks.

As for writing notes - imo computers are pretty useless for writing up of important maths stuff.

LateX - it was designed for typing out and printing equations.

I've got my rough notes from lessons but I want a neat version which I can file away for future reference rather than my current; which looks as though i've mass murdered an entire generation of spiders on my page.

This. LaTeX for me was invaluable during my MSc, you should even do your coursework/thesis in it too

I've got it installed but I have to code my equations?

IMO re-write them up by hand if you need to.

Will be A LOT quicker
