HI Guys
Just been drooling at the mice over at the Razer site and am a bit unsure which to buy. One of my dilemas is the Optical/Lazer thing. But now I've stubbled across Infared mice too - which are new to me.
At the moment I'm using an MS 6000 Laser mouse, just wondering which Raser mouse would be a great upgrade (for FPS gaming)

Cheers :)

I'm currently using the Razer Lachesis and its a good mouse, I also had the DeathAdder which was really good (especially if you've got big hands). Hope that helps :)

well im not sure about razer's latest mice, but i have the original razer diamondback (not even on the website anymore) and ive had it for years and its never let me down. had no issues with what so ever. and i am pretty sure it is infared. im right handed yet i still prefer the design of the mouse over other mice (mx518 design?).

here is a teaser pic from me:

i can only imagine the newer razers are just as good if not better.

EDIT: i am guessing that purple light is the infared beam. as you cant see it in person.

I used the microsoft laser 6000 mice for many years. I then won a Razer Deathadder in a competition.

I have very very small hands and while it slightly on the big side for me it seems to be a decent mouse.

Once you alter the sensitivity to suit it feels so much more responsive than what I was using previously.

Some people have had issues regarding updating the firmware but I suppose I got lucky and did not encounter these problems.

I'm using the Razer Deathadder, great mouse if you're right handed and have large hands! Very comfy :)

nice sexy shot of your Diamondback Blackhawk47 :)
I guess I'll get a good mouse whichever razer I plump for.
I got large hands too benjo will take another look at the Deathadder.

Thanks everyone :)

I had the DeathAdder, however it died. Now using a Lachesis. The Lachesis is smaller than the DA, which, IMHO, makes it more comfortable to use. I also prefer the weighting of the Lachesis. The button sensitivity on the Lachesis is also a LOT better than the DA... in all, I prefer the Lachesis, but it is more expensive.

Deathadder is really the only choice from razer if you are right handed. Same shape as the ie3.0 but good tech, never skips on me and looks the business.

I used to have a diamondback which was fine but much prefer the shape of the deathadder.
