Ok its nearing that time again (i know its a month or so yet) but i was planning on doing a bit of a display for the friends/family...

Wheres the cheapest best place to buy fireworks? Im talking the best bang for buck. Its a bit of a struggle to blow 200 quid up into the air......

So if any of you guys/gals have bought stuff cheaply before just post up here and let us know where the best deals are :)

Albaba :)

If anyone lives near Buckinghamshire, Steeple Claydon display is brilliant every year. It costs £5 which is excellent value for money and this year has a 'Thriller' theme. Over the last few years they have featured a model of Concord flying overhead, made out of fireworks, and a tank battle with mortars flying back and forth.

I think I'll just stand outside and burn a wad of notes this year.

Yeah it is a total waste of money. you would be better off taking your family/friends to a display somwhere

a couple of my mates spend silly amounts on fireworks

and unless you get hold of display only fireworks its gonna suck pretty damn hard

thats assuming your city/town does a display. york City sucks hard at this there are none :(

I know everybody has their own choices in life but fireworks is one of those things I don't understand people wasting money on.
To me they are totally pointless but that is my opinion.
My mummy always gave me a choice when I was little "Do you want a proper toy or fireworks?"
"Proper toy please".
In 50 years I've been to one firework display and that was millennium night.
I was gigging and couldn't get out of it.
The fireworks took about 20 minutes and it cost them (so I heard) £10,000.

You can't beat the excitement of having your own fireworks. Displays are good but wheres the risk in them! Risk = fun! Unless there are children around of course!

Theres nothing like lighting up a firework that states on the side the audience must be at least 40ft away.. when the garden is only 20ft in size :D

:D The smaller the garden and the larger the firework the better imo. 2stepsteve just noticed your from romford as well, you should def check out fireworkcrazy (link I posted above), their based near chelmsford and have very good fireworks, 27th this month they have their free firework display showing one of each of their fireworks.

Yeah, we used to go to the Trentham Garden's display every year, but they don't seem to hold it anymore.

Sparklers > Fireworks.

used to like sparklers more then fireworks! taking pictures with your mates writting things is also amusing xD

there is a place near wigan on the east lancs i think, it has a huge display every nite doing all the different fireworks(proper display ones), they give u a pen and paper and tell u the name of each one they do. when you have your list everyone goes inside and they auction off stuff.

my friend got 2 huge ones that were 50cm x 30cm x 25cm deap cardboard box ones( just take the lid off and run), one lasted for about 2 minutes, they normaly cost £60 each before the auction but he got 2 for £70. he also picked up a damaged outside box to a selection box with 10+ huge repeater ones for half price.

they do bargains on multi buys of rockets etc(the huge ones).

needless to say we went back for new years also.

I just needed a "Aaaaarrggghhhh I have pets and I hate bonfire FORTNIGHT" (as it seems to have become)

I spend night after night consoling the dog and the rabbits, if it was just one night I could cope with that, but its the 2 solid weeks of fireworks either side of the 5th of November.

Please if you're going to let them off in your garden, make the neighbours aware of it, incase they have any pets who may be upset by it.

It's only SEPTEMBER ffs! ...... Oct 15th should be the earliest you should be able to buy them and you need to be 18 years of age too.

I think that I'll be wearing a balaclava and using a high power catapult this year for all those ****s that decide to let off their bombs anytime.

I have no idea where you live but I have used these guys on several occasions. They are not cheap but they do provide real quality. Proper fireworks that you would expect to see in a professional show. You can also buy a display in a box but these can cost £200 for one Firework but then they do last for several minutes.
