Greddy/Trust Declares Bankruptcy

A real shame, but it seems the way its going. Apexi were having problems not so long ago aswell.

Yep, 'tis a reall shame. Apexi have already gone under AFAIK. With the current economic climate I fear they won't be the last either :(

Do we think this is due to their products not really being bought as cars have moved on? Demand for fast/tuned cars clearly isnt lacking, just look at the power levels of modern machinery...

there aren't really man cars around atm that reflect the jap turbo nutter tunable cars of the 80s and 90s now, look at toyota, no mr2 turbo, no supra, no celica gt4s, mitsu dont have the fto or the 3000GT, nissan have no modern 200sx and until the r35 had nothing, everything is moving onto relatively highly stressed hot hatches or super saloon stuff now!

Pretty much what i meant mate, as cars have moved on they are coming from the factory with mega performance, thus killing off the tuning market?

I can imagine a lot of people buy this stuff using credit cards.

Maybe as their average customer's available credit has dried up then so has their sales? Add to this generally people feeling the squeeze & that turbo conversion you planned to do is on ice because your outgoings have rocketed etc.

and that too i think merlin, the credit crunch has divided the market generally speaking, those rich enough that they want a fast car from the factory with a warranty and don't like image that "tuning" has, and those without that kind of money just can't afford to do anything atm!

They're experiencing rising costs and everything they sell is not a very "sensible" purchase so is the first thing to go.
