Police Incident in Wirral?

Anybody know whats going on in pump lane near Moreton? An unmarked police car sped past me then in Moreton there was about 4 vans and loads of cars blocking off Pump lane. Police helicopter in the air and then about an hour later I saw a police landrover and big unmarked van speed past with kitted up guys in the front. Will be interesting to find out!

Yeah looks like it is, I saw the collision as well on the way to the accident, police car collided with a normal car and I saw the driver of the normal car with a bandage around his head and blood. Interesting.

I used to say in Wirral, until I got abused by one of my uni friends who lives there and insisted it was 'on the' instead of 'in' lol. Turns out she was right!

Went past it on the way home from Leeds open day. Radio City said there's a crazy man in his house, apparently armed, and Pump Lane is closed off in both directions.

Can't remember what road they said it was on.

Somebody murdered apparantly! This is about 2 minutes from my house! Scary

Dangerous, didn't realise you were from the Wirral! Few people here seemed to have lived here and then moved out

Because it's surrounded by water on 3 sides I imagine. So it's for similar reasons as people saying "on" the Isle of Mann, for example, rather than in it.

Wirral is the peninsula. It's not a town or city or whatever. You could live in, say, Birkenhead which is on the Wirral.

Good man. Hope we beat the Mancs on Saturday, however without Gerrard or Torres I don't see it happening

as when I went to the Villa game we looked average.
