Just had to share the joy.

Just under £1000 for two people all inclusive :)

I know it's the rainy season, but even then there is still plenty of sunshine!

Just can't wait to see all the wildlife, and chill on the beach, and maybe even go horse riding or white water rafting!

And to think I was going to spend the same amount to go to the med!

Me is excited :D

I went out there just over a month ago and loved it. Do you know which bits of the country you'll be seeing while you're over there?

Where about did you go?

We are going to Tamarindo, on the west coast.

While I was meant to be booking a relaxing holiday, I don't see myself jsut sitting on the beach if I am going to Costa Rica.

So, at the very least will visit Mount Arenal. Might get the trip to Nicaragua, but it's very long day at 12 hours.

Apart from that I will be most happpy just doing things like the sky canopy tour thing :)

I stayed in San Pedro (reasonably near San Jose) and took day trips from there. The great thing about Costa Rica is that you can see so many different things within a few hours on the coach.

Arenal was impressive -- I was lucky that there was a clear sky at night, so I got to see the lava flows. It was part of a day trip to the Tabacon hot springs resort. If you're going with a partner then I'd definitely recommend going there!

I got to see a bit of the Pacific coast while I was there on a trip to Tortuga Island. I reckon the lounging around on the beach doesn't sound too bad...
