you can get bolt on sort of things where you pay so much for so many international texts

good thing to do would be to talk to one of the companys like carphone warehouse/phones4u and pretend your intrested in a new contract with any provider and youl be sending texts abroad. then they 'should' tell you which ones cheapest

Ages back I paid for a one off £5 bolt on on my payg O2 sim to text anywhere for £10. (*Think* tyhere were a few excluded nations, but Thailand wasnt one of them as thats the country I needed to text).

Lifetime bolt on as far as I know too....so I must still have it, though I don't need to text abroad anymore.

If you send her a UK SIM card, and she puts it into a phone over there, she can receive the UK texts for free, and you only pay for the UK text rates... Might not be worth the trouble though.

no idea how to put credit on it...

If you use 3, they charge 25p a message.
