hi - i am after a cooler for my 9800gtx

its the most moisy thing in my rig atm so i want to put something like a thermalright [or similar] on it with a good fan

it is overclocked quite far past the factory standard overclock - so would benefit frrom having a better cooling solution.

anybody got any suggestions - or at least a compatibility chart?

at the moment im thinking thermalright HR-03 GT

is this the way to go?

i'm in the same boat as you

i have the non-overclocked 9800gtx running at the "h2o" clocks and under load the fan speeds up to about 60% and its noisy.

looking for another cooler, but i want something that is only dual or single slot so i can go tri-sli

i wouldnt bother with tri sli
we put mine into my mates 9800gtx sli rig and tried it runnin on a 30" dell
it was actually worse in most things we tried apart from 3dmark

[back on topic]

i have seen a review with the thermalright solution i mentioned.
might be worth me getting that

*used on a 9800GTX* The HR-03 GT provides a 20°C reduction in heat over the stock cooler which is incredible to say the least. The only downside of this cooler is that it takes up a full three expansion slots

good grief bledd! :D - whens that out dude?
and what kind of performance will it offer over the hr03gt?

its pretty thin and would deffo benefit the guy on the second post wanting it for sli!
i'll keep an eye on that other thread

im not sure which to get now

i guess if i wait for the one you suggested then i wont be skinning myself this month :(

just seen your edit bledd - looks good - i think i may wait it out for that one - guessing its going to be on the expensive side though!
